Marty Willson-Piper is a British guitarist and singer-songwriter who has been writing and performing with many bands and artists all over the world for the past 35+ years. He is best known as a long-time member of the Australian psychedelic rock band the Church. Willson-Piper contributed to all of the Church’s studio releases until 2013 and was a touring member from 1980-2013.
Well known as a man whose music voices the paradoxes of pain and beauty in a lyrical and musical style that snags the attention of the audience and remains in their consciousness long after the music has ceased. In live performances, this penetrating depth of music is coupled with fabulous humor that is nothing but British, intelligent, and vastly inappropriate (in all the right ways).
Willson-Piper has maintained a steady solo output since the mid-1980’s, releasing six solo studio albums and three live solo albums to date. He released his solo album Nightjar in 2009 on Second Motion Records. He has also released three albums with long time friend Dare Mason under the name Noctorum. Their fourth album is scheduled for release in October 2018.
Marty has song co-writes with many artists, including Grace Slick, Aimee Mann, Susannah Hoffs, Linda Perry and more.
Salim Nourallah is a North Texas music scene fixture. After gaining initial acclaim with the Denton-based Nourallah Brothers he’s gone on to release a half dozen solo albums and produce a fine list of many others (including the Old 97s, Rhett Miller, Deathray Davies & the Damnwells). Salim has won many Dallas Observer music awards, including Best Album, Best Song and 7 consecutive awards for Best Producer. His 7th solo LP, Somewhere South of Sane, will be released on September 28th by Palo Santo Records. No Depression has already called the sprawling double LP's inventive soundscapes "melodic and memorable...think Nick Drake and the side of John Lennon that emerges in songs like 'Julia.'"
Laish is the name for Danny Green’s songs. Danny is known for honest, self-reflective songs and stunning live performances. Danny possesses a distinctive, plaintive tenor which is deep, richly textured and affecting. Gentle fingerpicked acoustic ballads and robust art rock jams about relationships failed and survived.
The fourth album, Time Elastic, is out now via Talitres.
Currently based in London, Danny Laish has had an impressive independent career performing both solo and with a full band. Prominent shows include some of the UK’s most prestigious venues: The Union Chapel, The Roundhouse, Barbican, St Pancras Old Church and Kings Place. Laish have toured extensively across UK and Europe and released two critically acclaimed albums. Festival performances at End of the Road, Larmer Tree, Burning Eagle, Cambridge Folk and Smugglers, and shared stages with Grizzly Bear, Beach House, Richard Dawson, Martha Wainwright, Rozi Plain, Wave Pictures, Júníus Meyvant and Jason Lytle.
