Thursday, December 13, 2018
10:30 a.m.—3:30 p.m.
Patterson-Appleton Arts Center

What is branding and why is visual identity important for the arts? Whether you are an artist, an arts administrator, or a creative entrepreneur starting a new business having good branding and marketing strategies are crucial to your success. Crafting a strong visual language increases your ability to communicate strategically and reach new targeted audiences.

Join UNT’s Interdisciplinary Art and Design Studies program (IADS) students from the College of Visual Arts and Design for Stand Out, Brand Out, a symposium on branding, visual identity, and marketing strategies in the arts. The event is sponsored by the Department of Art Education and Art History and the Greater Denton Arts Council.

Stand Out, Brand Out will feature keynotes by Holland Sanders, CEO of Holland Collective (Fort Worth, TX) and Francis Thompson, Art Manager for JLL (Richmond, VA). Additional sessions include interdisciplinary conversations on branding and its relationship to law & intellectual property; equity & inclusion, and social media marketing strategies.
