Join us as we celebrate the opening of the 12th Edition of the Denton Black Film Festival in continued partnership with the Denton Independent School District for its Annual Adopt-A-School Art & Essay Awards. For the third year in a row, 4th and 5th grade students across Denton ISD share original artwork and essays (in English or Spanish) inspired by a shared theme.

This year’s focus, Hope & Courage, invites reflection on belief, resilience, and the strength to move forward in challenging times. Experience how these young voices creatively express what hope and courage mean to them.
