First Friday at the PAAC - Instrument Petting Zoo and Concert

Anne Dearth Maker (flutist) and Louise Fristensky (composer, sound sculpture, and systems artist) invite the Denton and larger DFW community to the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center for an evening of classical and experimental music as well as a preceding audience-interactive event. Anne will be performing works by local Denton and DFW composers Louise Fristensky, Jesse Maker, and Sungji Hong that explore improvisation, contrast, and contemporary virtuosity. Louise will be performing an electro-acoustic set featuring live vocals and synth. Prior to the concert, join them for an instrument petting zoo (6:00 - 6:45), where audience members will have the opportunity to learn about and interact with the instruments and equipment they'll be experiencing during the concert.
