Anna Galluzzi
We are STOKED to announce the opening of Anna Galluzzi's solo show at Stoke CoWork Denton, now on view from November 17 - May 16, 2026.
Rent any of Stoke's three lovely conference rooms to view and purchase their work. About their work, Galluzzi shares, "Childlike whimsy, fun colors and repetitive patterns characterize my work. I use organic shapes, such as flowers, as vessels for colors and motifs that bring me joy. Embracing pleasure is an act of rebellion in a world that is constantly trying to punish us for it. I typically focus on the process itself as entering a “flow state,” as defined by theorist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, is crucial to my practice. I often harken back to decoration for decorations sake as explored in the Pattern & Decoration Movement of the 1970’s. As a queer and autistic person, using the flower motif gives me the opportunity to convey complicated emotions with my own visual language. Ultimately, I make work because it brings me delight and my goal is that it brings visual pleasure to others."
