Week Two: Out of This World!

June 22 – 26

Blast off into a week of cosmic creativity! Campers will create space-themed art inspired by galaxies, planets, astronauts, and even aliens! Using a variety of materials, including paint, drawing media, and mixed media, students will learn techniques to create out-of-this-world designs. 

Join us on Friday, June 26 at 2:30 PM for a stellar camp showcase! Family and friends are invited to celebrate and admire all the cosmic creations made by the campers throughout the week.

Two sessions will take place throughout the week for two age groups: 6 to 9-year-olds and 10 to 13-year-olds. You can choose between full-day or half-day options. See below for more camp details, the schedule of classes, and how to register.

  • Full-Day Admission Hours
    9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Pick up at 3:00 PM.

    Half-Day Admission Hours
    Morning Session: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM. Pick up at 11:30 AM.

    Afternoon Session: 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM. Pick up at 3:00 PM.

    If signing up for half days, campers can only sign up for either the morning or afternoon sessions for the entire week.

    Drop-Off & Attendance Policies

    • The earliest drop-off time is 8:45 AM, or 15 minutes before your session’s start time.

    • Pick-up is promptly at the scheduled end time.

    • We do not offer after-hours childcare.

    * A $15 late fee will be charged beginning at 3:15 PM (or 15 minutes after your session’s end time). An additional $1 per minute will be charged for every minute thereafter. This policy ensures our staff are properly compensated for extended supervision.

    If your camper will be absent or needs to leave early, please notify us as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

    • A sack lunch (full-day campers only)

    • A refillable water bottle

    • Comfortable clothes that can get messy

    • We also recommend bringing a light jacket or sweatshirt, as our building can get chilly with the air conditioning during the summer.

    Please note: We are not able to purchase, refrigerate, or heat lunches.

    Light snacks are provided twice daily — once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Campers attending only morning or afternoon sessions do not need to bring lunch but should still bring a water bottle.

    If your camper requires medication, please label it clearly in a sealed zip-top bag and make arrangements in advance with GDAC’s Education Curator, Jess Green.

    For our youngest campers, we recommend packing a backup change of clothes in case of emergencies.

    What should my camper NOT bring to camp?

    • Valuables such as iPads, gaming devices, etc.

    • Toys should stay at home unless prior communications between guardians and Education Curator, Jess Green.

    • Any objects that could be considered dangerous or harmful.

  • Registration opening March 16 for GDAC Family Level Members and above. Opening March 23 for non-members.

    The GDAC Out of This World! Registration Form must be completed and submitted with payment through the link above (coming soon). The form must be filled out for each week of camp if registering for more than one week. You can register up to 3 siblings in one form.

    Please ensure that you have provided us with all necessary information about your child’s health, allergies, or special needs and accommodations as necessary. All information is confidential but may be made available to GDAC staff to help provide care for your child.

    Payment

    There are three options for camp registration:

    Full Day Registration - $250

    Half Day Registration (Morning Session) - $150

    Half Day Registration (Afternoon Session) - $150

    Refer to the class schedules below to determine which session your camper would like to attend.

    While the class schedules are listed below, the specific activities are still being finalized for the Out of This World! Camp. We will post the final schedule with activities on this page as soon as they are available. Please note that class projects and activities are subject to change at any time.

    Morning session campers are encouraged to attend the Camp Showcase on the last day of camp at 2:30 PM.

    If registering siblings, each sibling will receive a 20% discount off their registration after the first full-price registration. Please note that the sibling discount can only be applied for up to 3 siblings registered for the same camp week and session.

    *We cannot issue refunds after May 30, 2026. There are no make-up days, credits or refunds for missed days of camp.
