Artist Statement:
My work reflects my interest in the influence of women in pop culture, themes of femininity, and colors that have high contrast.
Using traditional underpainting with oil and acrylics, my paintings can come across as humorous, sharp, and at times confrontational. They are charged with vibrancy and have an underlying tone that can be felt if sat with long enough.
It’s exciting to paint images that are visually striking with contrasting subjects that are often overlooked.
