Artist Statement:
There is something about a ruled notebook that I find so charming. It has been a companion since my early days in school, with the perfectly spaced cyan lines making it easy to take notes. Somehow though, the lines make it easier for me to draw versus plain paper. Perhaps it's the pre-existing marks on the paper that makes it less daunting to draw or maybe it's because my mind wanders in class or meetings, but regardless I find my best doodles to be in my notebooks. This is my love letter to notebooks.
