Immortal Flame, 2025
Stained glass
“My concept for this work stems from the mythology of the Phoenix and my personal connection to the imagery as an artist. As a young artist, I was captivated by the immortal flames and grace of the creature, dedicating myself to recreating the Phoenix until I felt I’d truly satisfied my creative passion. Much like the fire that could never be put to rest, I realized my fascination was endless, and as long as my interest remained, I’d continue to create. The large-scale phoenix utilizes light as the primary medium, bending and reflecting it with stained glass and mirrors that symbolize my persistent artistry and the everlasting flames and embers of rebirth found within mythology.”
About:
“My work creates a sense of comfort I can share with the people who interact with it. My concepts often explore themes of domesticity, mental health, and environmentalism. Glass, fabric, and metal are recurring media used throughout my work. My art ties me to the world, reminding me of my own humanity and how it’s intrinsically linked to others.”
