Materials: Hard + Soft 2027 Call for Art Open Now!

Once again our largest signature exhibition call for art is now open! Now approaching its 40th anniversary, the International Materials: Hard + Soft Contemporary Craft & Digital Art Competition and Exhibition has carved out a place for artists working in craft media to receive the recognition they deserve. We expanded the exhibition in 2025 to include digital and conceptual art for the first time and in 2026 we reimagined the show again with new awards categories including two Juror’s Choice awards, Best Quality Craftmanship, Best in New Media, Most Innovative Use of Materials, and The Storyteller which will recognize the artwork with the most compelling narrative element.
