SPLASH! Closing Performance - Thursday Dec. 5, 2024

The final performance of the SPLASH! exhibition saw a hushed, intimate gathering in Meadows Gallery with dances led by Dr. Adesola Akinleye and the Unbound Dance Company. Original music compositions by Sam Montgomery provided a haunting soundtrack echoing through the gallery in perfect compliment to the animated projections bathing the walls and dancers in changing rivulets of color and motion.

As we close out this exhibition, we would like to extend our enormous thanks to Dr. Akinleye, Dr. Helen Kindred, Cheniece Warner, Mary Rodriguez, and Andrew Hinton for their combined talents across multiple disciplines bringing this show to life. We are also grateful for everyone who came to experience SPLASH! whether it was on your own or you participated in one of the workshops and performances. Our wall of community created art in response to the exhibition changed daily, with new pieces appearing and sprawling further across the walls so much like the waterways the exhibit studies. Thank you for being a part of this!
