I'm a New Media artist, so digital is my first and favorite medium for art. I place a special emphasis on color and dynamism because those best portray the energy and emotions I feel toward a particular piece.
I love concept art; prop design, world building and best of all character creation. I created this work to essentially function as a portfolio in one piece, creating a new world while showing my process. I focused the concept work on character creation because I believe a world is best defined by the characters that inhabit it.

Prahlad Dasshort was born in Dallas, Texas, and has lived in Texas his whole life. His interest in New Media Art was born from a lifetime of watching animated movies, cartoons, and online videos.
He favors digital painting and 2D animation because of their low barrier to entry and how open they are to experimentation. Living in the art mecca that is the state of Texas, Prahlad is surrounded by many creative forces that inspire and expand his own imagination and his desire to bring that imagination to life pushes him to continually grow.
