Week Three: Birds, Blossoms, & Bugs

June 23 - 27

Spread your creative wings and dive into a world of nature’s tiniest and most colorful wonders at GDAC’s Birds, Blossoms, & Bugs Art Camp! Throughout the week, campers will embark on exciting art projects that celebrate these three themes through painting, sculpture, and mixed media. Additionally, campers will learn how to draw real insect specimens provided by Pinned Ptera! 

It’s a perfect blend of nature, creativity, and fun, where each day brings new discoveries and endless possibilities!

Join us on Friday, June 27 at 2:30 PM for the Camp Showcase, where family and friends are invited to celebrate and admire all the incredible art created by the campers throughout the week!

Two sessions will take place throughout the week for two age groups: 6 to 9-year-olds and 10 to 13-year-olds. Each age group is limited to 20 students. You can choose between full-day or half-day options. See below for more camp details, the schedule of classes, and how to register.

  • Full-Day Admission Hours
    9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Pick up at 3:00 PM.

    Half-Day Admission Hours
    Morning Session: 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM. Pick up at 11:30 AM.

    Afternoon Session: 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM. Pick up at 3:00 PM.

    If signing up for half days, campers can only sign up for either the morning or afternoon sessions for the entire week.

  • Campers must bring a sack lunch and a refillable water bottle each day. We are not able to purchase, refrigerate, or heat lunches.

    Light snacks will be provided twice a day; once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Campers attending only the morning or the afternoon sessions will not need to bring lunch but must bring a water bottle.

    Campers should wear comfortable clothes that may get messy. All art materials will be provided by GDAC..

    The GDAC Birds, Blossoms, & Bugs Camp Registration Form must be completed and submitted with payment through the link above. The form must be filled out for each week of camp if registering for more than one week. You can register up to 3 siblings in one form.

    Please ensure that you have provided us with all necessary information about your child’s health, allergies, or special needs and accommodations as necessary. All information is confidential but may be made available to GDAC staff to help provide care for your child.

    Payment

    There are three options for camp registration:

    Full Day Registration - $250

    Half Day Registration (Morning Session) - $150

    Half Day Registration (Afternoon Session) - $150

    Refer to the class schedules below to determine which session your camper would like to attend.

    While the class schedules are listed below, the specific activities are still being finalized for the Birds, Blossoms, & Bugs Camp. We will post the final schedule with activities on this page as soon as they are available. Please note that class projects and activities are subject to change at any time.

    Morning session campers are encouraged to attend the Camp Showcase on the last day of camp at 2:30 PM.

    If registering siblings, each sibling will receive a 20% discount off their registration after the first full-price registration. Please note that the sibling discount can only be applied to siblings registering for the same camp week and session.

    GDAC Members will receive a coupon code for a 20% discount on their total purchase at checkout.

    *We cannot issue refunds after May 30.
