This piece serves as a silly experience representative of the complex relationship between the digital and the natural. I feel as though many of us living in the world of social media addiction have a desire to explore more nature but feel stuck in a way. With these feelings myself, I often find myself finding the feeling of exploration within online spaces that are representative of natural spaces. Because of this, I created ??? to serve as that as well with the twist of a scavenger hunt, encouraging the player to collect all of the flowers I have placed in the field.

Xia Garcia is a multimedia artist whose work explores themes of the surreal and grotesque found within the subconscious. Intrigued by the frequent nightmares they have experienced since childhood along with the effects of being raised by the internet, Xia’s work exists to fulfill an insatiable itch to share these uncomfortable experiences with others through a combination of as many digital mediums they can get their hands on.
