Krissi Oden on United Way Denton County’s Dancing with Our Stars!

Put on your dancing shoes and catch GDAC’s Executive Director Krissi Oden and City of Denton Municipal Court Judge Tyler Atkinson performing in the United Tribute Gala’s Dancing with Our Stars competition on Saturday, Jan. 25! As a team, Krissi and Tyler are dancing to raise funds for United Way and you can help—click here to donate. Krissi’s chosen initiative for this fundraiser is youth opportunity: “We live in a TOUGH economic time, and for many families, putting food on the table is a challenge. As a former teacher, I've seen many students come to school hungry, or stressed about money - something a child should never have to take on. Everyone needs help sometimes - and as a community, we should want EVERYONE to succeed. We are all one chance away from needing a hand. If we are in a position to lend one, it shouldn't even be a question.”

The Gala will be held Embassy Suites, which is also one of GDAC’s sister gallery locations where Lea Hamilton’s work is currently on display in the lobby. Come out for a joyous and energetic evening and see Krissi and Tyler dance the hustle!
