HEART Awards 2024 Mad Hatter Soiree - Oct. 18, 2024

This tea party may have been mad, but it was also a joyous celebration of everything whimsical and wonderful about the arts and those in our community who lead and advocate on behalf of art. We were thrilled to bestow each of the HEART Awards on five individuals who have displayed exceptional commitment to arts in Denton: Frederick Nichelson, winner of the Hero Award; Delaney Smith-Vaughn, winner of the Emerging Artist Award; Makayla Rosenberger, winner of the Artist Award; Herbert Holl, winner of the Roni Beasley Award; and Kelly Stribling-Sutherland, winner of the Teacher Award.

Thank you to everyone who made this evening possible: Chestnut Tree Bistro for supplying decadent Wonderland-themed food; Steve’s Wine Bar for drinks; Lightware Labs for transforming Festival Hall with floor to ceiling projections; GDAC’s Board of Directors for organizing and planning the event; and everyone who came out to celebrate creativity with us and support GDAC as the arts engine of Denton.
