This piece was inspired by a jack-in-the-box toy, inspired by the theme “Island of Misfit Toys.” I wanted to create a piece that was semi-interactive by using the motion sensor light to shine onto the puppet when people walk by.

Alexis Andersen is in her 4th year at UNT focusing on photography. She mainly does macro and nature photography. At the same time, she enjoys to create sculptures or physical work whenever she can.
