Identity Crisis, 2024
Installation, thermal infrared photography
Identity Crisis consists of a series of four framed, back-lit, heat signature images, each a different version of the same still life. To produce the images, the temperatures of the objects were manipulated to produce different color ranges using a thermal infrared camera. At the center of these images is a monitor showing a live feed of a TIR camera. As the viewer approaches the artwork and steps into the frame of the camera, they are incorporated into the installation.
